DigiME: converse with the digital knowledge copy of your key person
DigiME is the first use case built on the MentX knowledge base: a digital knowledge copy of your key person you can converse with. Ask it what you would ask him. It answers in his knowledge, his reasoning style and his voice of thought — and every answer carries full source attribution. MentX builds DigiME; the knowledge base underneath does the work.
What does a DigiME conversation look like?
A project engineer is quoting a rebuild for a client the company has served since the nineties. The expert who knows that client is retired. The engineer asks the DigiME:
"Why do we always oversize the drive on line 2 installations for this client?"
The DigiME answers the way the expert would: the client's plant runs closer to peak load than their specs admit, a standard drive failed there twice in the early 2010s, and the oversizing is cheap insurance against a relationship-damaging breakdown. Under the answer: the sources — an intake session from March, a project meeting from 2024 — with dates. The engineer can open them and check.
That is the pattern: a question that used to require interrupting one person — or went unanswered after he left — gets his reasoning, not just a fact, and stays verifiable.
What makes it different from a chatbot on your documents?
Three things. First, the knowledge: DigiME draws on a temporal knowledge graph built from meetings and a guided intake — knowledge that was never in any document. Second, the reasoning style: the intake is personality-aware, so answers follow how this person weighs trade-offs, not a generic summary tone. Third, attribution: each answer cites who said it, where and when. A document chatbot retrieves text; DigiME represents a person's working knowledge.
What DigiME is not
DigiME is not a replacement for your expert while he is there — it is the way his knowledge keeps working when he is in a meeting, on holiday, or retired. It is not a simulation of his personality for its own sake; the personality-awareness serves accuracy of reasoning, nothing else. And it does not improvise: when the knowledge base has no grounded answer, DigiME says so rather than inventing one.
How does it stay current?
The knowledge base underneath is living. New meetings keep flowing in while the expert is active, and each statement is dated, so DigiME can distinguish how things were done from how they are done now. The expert keeps veto rights over his profile throughout — he decides what his digital knowledge copy may contain.
And after DigiME?
DigiME is the first use case, not the last. The same knowledge base carries onboarding, recurring questions, decision support and succession continuity — without new capture work. See everything the knowledge base unlocks →
