Frequently asked questions
The questions SME owners actually ask us — about the product, the expert, the data and the conditions. Short answers here; the linked pages go deeper.
About MentX and DigiME
What is MentX?
MentX is a personality-aware knowledge base. It captures the knowledge of a company's key person — from meetings and a guided intake track — into a living, temporal knowledge graph with full source attribution. It is built for SMEs and family businesses where critical knowledge sits in the head of one or a few people. How it works →
What is DigiME?
DigiME is the first use case built on the MentX knowledge base: a digital knowledge copy of your key person you can converse with. It answers in his knowledge, his reasoning style and his voice of thought — with sources under every answer. More about DigiME →
How is DigiME different from ChatGPT on our documents?
Three ways. The knowledge comes from meetings and a guided intake — knowledge that was never in any document. The answers follow your expert's reasoning style, not a generic summary tone. And every answer carries provenance: sources with dates, verifiable by anyone.
About the expert
What does it ask of our expert?
Presence in meetings he already attends, plus structured intake sessions led by us, spread over weeks. No writing, no wiki maintenance. He keeps veto rights over his profile throughout.
What if our expert doesn't want this?
Then it doesn't happen — capture works with the expert, never on him. In practice the veto rights change the conversation: experts speak freely when they hold the pen over their own profile. The intake agreement, signed by both company and expert before capture starts, sets the ground rules. Governance details →
Our key person already left. Can MentX still help?
Partially, and honestly: less well. If the person is reachable and willing, the guided intake can still capture a meaningful base after departure. The meeting-ingest channel is gone, though — which is why starting before the departure matters so much.
About data and trust
Where does our data live and who owns it?
In your company's own Knowledge Space, EU-based and GDPR-native. Not shared across customers, not pooled, not used to train anything outside your Space. At contract end you choose: export and keep the base, or have it deleted. Trust & governance →
Does the knowledge base stay useful after the expert retires?
Yes. The temporal knowledge graph keeps answering from everything captured, with dates and sources intact, and the team's new knowledge can extend the same Space. The base is designed to outlive the capture phase — that is its point.
About conditions and fit
What does MentX cost?
MentX currently onboards through the Founding Partner Program: five companies get the guided intake and their first Knowledge Space at founding-partner conditions. Conditions are discussed in the intro call — there is no public price list during the founding phase.
Which companies is MentX for?
SMEs and family businesses where critical knowledge sits with one or a few people — especially with retirement, succession or a sale on the horizon. Typical sectors are on the industries page.
Can we capture more than one person?
The model is one Knowledge Space per company, starting with the single most critical person — that is where the risk concentrates and the value is highest. Additional key people can follow in the same Space once the first capture is running.
How long before we see value?
The graph grows from the first connected meeting and the first intake session. DigiME goes live once the base has enough depth to answer usefully — the guided intake is designed to reach that point in weeks, not years.
Ask it in the intro call
Thirty minutes with the founders. No slides, no commitment.
